Honing The Skills Of A Champion
To be a Young Champion is to do the best for yourself and others.

To do what you have to do, even if it isn’t fun or easy.

To try again and again, until you learn something new.

To build this, Martial Arts International teaches lessons in courage, focus, and safety.

Courage. Self-Confidence.
Being a Young Champion doesn't mean avoiding fear.

It means doing what you have to do despite your fear.

That’s why our Young Champions are pushed to their limits in an energetic and safe environment.

That winners never quit, and quitters never win.

It is through their own growth and overcoming of challenges that they become more courageous and confident.

Honing The Skills Of A Champion
To be a young champion is to do what is best for yourself and others.

To do what you have to do even if it isn’t fun or easy.

To try again and again, until you learn something new.

Each class will provide children with lessons in courage, focus, and safety.

Self-Confidence. Courage.
In order to become a champion, you need to overcome your worries and become stronger for it.

That’s why our Young Champions are pushed to their limits to grow and overcome a wide variety of challenges.

They become more confident, more courageous, more willing to take the hard route.

That’s why it takes to become a champion.

Focus. Self-Discipline.
Being a Young Champion requires a strong sense of self-discipline and focus.

It is this iron-hard resolve that allows them to constantly better themselves.

That hard work and focus will be rewarded.

That giving their best effort can be fun and fulfilling.

That they are on a quest to be their best.

Safety.  Self-Defense.
A real champion knows when it is necessary to fight and when it is necessary to not.

Our Young Champions are taught that the wise one learns to fight so that they will not have to fight.

Our lessons prioritize common sense before self defense.

Only as a last resort do our Young Champions learn the most efficient and effective ways to turn the tide of battle to their benefit.
Self-Discipline. Focus.
Being a champion requires a strong sense of self-discipline and focus.

It is their iron-hard resolve that allows them to become who they are.

That is why our Young Champions, under the guidance of our top-notch instructors, work their hardest in each and every class to get better than they were before.

It is this strong urge to improve, to stay on task, to focus that helps our young champions grow as quickly as they do.

Self-Defense. Safety.
A real champion knows when it is necessary to fight and when it is necessary to not.

Our Young Champions are taught, first and foremost, that the best defense to any attack is to not be there.

Our lessons prioritize avoidance and de-escalation before any self-defense can take place.

From there, Young Champions are taught how to quickly turn the tide of the situation and then get to safety.

About Martial Arts International
The School Of Champions Since 1987
Founded by owner Rick Manos over 30 years ago, Martial Arts International has been servicing the Orange County region to high praise.

The base style of karate that is taught here is known as shorin-ryu, known to be one of the most practical martial arts.

Aside from our traditional influences, shorin-ryu, we also incorporate modern-day techniques and other styles. This creates a more well-rounded and practical martial artist.

All instructors at Martial Arts International began their training under Sensei Rick Manos. Many have even gone to reach higher degrees of black belt, and and all are certified MAI instructors.
