Focus. Self-discipline.
Most importantly, our classes are always fun and never boring!

Little Dragons are always rewarded for sitting still, paying attention, and following instructions.

They can earn high fives, karate bucks, and special ninja obstacle courses for good behavior.

This constant positive reinforcement at the dojo leads to good habits developing in their home and school life.

Developing these essential skills helps set children up for early success in all aspects of their lives.

Respect. Empathy.
As little Dragons learn how to punch and kick, they also learn about the responsibilities that come with the knowledge.

They learn to only use karate for self-defense or helping others.

They also learn to draw their boundaries, and respect the boundaries of others.

This helps children to be more confident in themselves, while respecting others.

Little Dragons work hard every class to try and earn their new belts.

This helps them establish goal-setting skills and learn the benefits of hard work and dedication.

Through their training, they come to understand that nothing worth achieving can be achieved without hard work.

The base style of karate that is taught here is known as shorin-ryu, known to be one of the most practical martial arts.

Aside from our traditional influences, shorin-ryu, we also incorporate modern-day techniques and other styles. This creates a more well-rounded and practical martial artist.

All instructors at Martial Arts International began their training under Sensei Rick Manos. Many have even gone to reach higher degrees of black belt, and and all are certified MAI instructors.
